Zhuravel Volodymyr Mykolaiovych is a Ukrainian artist-sculptor, born on March 25, 1986. He started sculpting at the age of five. Since 2005, he has actively participated in international sculpture symposiums, all-Ukrainian exhibitions of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, art festivals, sculpture salons, and solo and group exhibitions in galleries in Ukraine and abroad.
The sculptor is known as the creator of:
- the monument to Anatoliy Kuznetsov on Kurenivka,
- the sculpture "Kids Launching Boats" on Poshtova Square,
- the monument to Ilya Muromets in Muromets Park,
- the monument to Igor Sikorsky at "Kyiv" International Airport named after I. Sikorsky,
- a diptych monument "Journey to Jaladuta" dedicated to the distinguished philosopher and spiritual leader A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. One part is in Kolkata, India; the second part is in Boston, USA.
- he designed and created the "Person of the Year" medal, which was later awarded to brothers Vitali Klitschko and Wladimir Klitschko by the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York.
One of Volodymyr Mykolaiovych's many works is the abstract sculpture "Ants", which is a striking example of modern plastic art, revealing the themes of labor, interaction, and collective strength through generalized forms and symbolism.
The composition is built on a combination of geometric elements and dynamic structures that create a sense of movement and tension. The stylized figures resemble ants — a symbol of resilience, organization, and incessant activity. Through the abstract language of forms, the author conveys the idea of harmony between the individual and the collective.
The surface texture and constructive arrangement enhance the industrial character of the work, giving it a modern feel. The sculpture stands out for its expressiveness, originality, and profound concept.
The presence of the author's original signature confirms the uniqueness and authenticity of this sculpture.
The work is a self-sufficient art object that not only adorns the space but also encourages reflection on the interconnections within society and the role of each individual in the overall system. It will become a stylish accent in any interior and a valuable element of a modern art collection. It has museum and collection value.
